This hair is amazing, but I dunno how to get it

In the You're So Last Summer video, Adam Lazzara has probably the coolest hairstyle I've ever seen, but I can't really tell how it's cut. Does anyone know what I should tell the person cutting my hair so they understand how I want it? It kind of looks short in the back and long in the front, but I can't tell where the hair starts to get longer. Thanks in advance for any help!

Try to get more than one picture of this haircut from different angles, and describe it in your own words as well, like, "I would like [this], but could you try to change [this] part to [this]?" Try to verbally express exactly what you want as well as visually, and take the haircut slowly so that you get what you want and not have a haircut where the hair wears you.

It's like trying to tell an artist how to replicate an image in your words without showing them the image. You know? Stylists can't relate to a picture, but they can feel a vibe from your personality.

Bleh, I'm making this sound too difficult.
