looking for some piccers, help please?

First of all sorry I haven't been active for a while people, I've been busy getting ready for college and work n'all that, and it's gonna get worse from now on -_- but I'll try to get on as much as I can.
Anyway, to the point. If any of you remember, I posted the final results of my new haircut in my first thread. I got myself some blue hair extensions, colour was perfect, but I can't attach them to save my life and they don't like my hair straighteners. For those of you who wonder what they look like:

I'm getting off topic. Anyway, I'm thinking of just getting the tips of my top and bottom layers lightened (not by a lot, just by one or two shades), then dying the bottom layer tips blue and the top layers purple...does anybody have any pictures of anyone with their layers tipped or something like that? I'm looking for some as we speak but having no luck.
Opinions as to whether this would work or not would be appreciated ^_^
One more thing: How much damage would it do to my hair just bleaching the tips?

The blue extention thingys look super cutee. =]
On TV I've seen some people who have bleached their hair and it ended up all fried and stiff and ugly, but I think they may have left it on too long or something.
As for the multi colored layers, I've seen a picture of it but I cant remeber as to where I have seen it but I rememebr I loved how it looked. So I think it would look amzing on anyone, expeically you. =]
But I'll look around to see if I can find it again.
