I took guitar lessons at age 13 or so... had fun with it and got good pretty quick... but never went past the level of decent to like kick ass. Some reason i couldnt get into whatever i played... Vocals always stood out alot more. Not the lyrics but the tone and sound. i always listened to vocals as a instrument rather then lyrics. Just followed the way things were worded or sounded out. You could let me hear disturbs vocals 500 times and i would know exactly how they went but no the words because the fact i drowned the words out and heard only sounds.

So i took on vocals this spring... did all inhale screaming and couldnt grasp exhale completely...

In august i learned exhale vocal fry and have been working on it since. its been probably 4 months...

I have been grasping it very well. I can match tones and pitches pretty good.
but for some reason it always sounded weak and sometimes cut out... i was always hard on myself because i am very critical of what i do, i could do all ranges and do all the effects like gargeling and pig squeals (all exhale). i got down alot tho because the lack of power or it cut out... well today i figured out why... i never warmed up my voice.. after hanging with friends all day and talking my voice was warmed up well. and i started doing them in the car omw home and it sounded very powerful and good. I was like holy shit i wanna go record now! haha

but im really excited because everything i like is mixing together... i am doing vocals and all my love of pc's is mixing in by working with audio. i made this intro in about 6 hours...

BTW the band site has all rough draft low quality recordings, i dont have the money to buy a recording set up (about 1000 dollars for the condenser mics and the interface as well as flat mixing speakers)
