Question Sleeping advice

Lately I have been having problems with sleeping; does anyone have some kind of advice if you've been through this as well?

I thought at first it's because of exams but the bad sleep still didn't go away after they finished. I guess I'll try go to sleep earlier and see if that helps but it hasn't so far.

Try to find a better pillow, most of the time that can be the problem.

Also adjust your temperature so it's neither too hot or too cold.

wow. i have a sleeping disorder also.
i try everything and it never seemed to work.
so. my mom gives me benadril and it knocks me out instantly.
hmm. try a benadril. and if that doesnt help. then.
go to a doctor. they are more better help than me.

Well you'll have to be more specific.
Like do can you stay asleep through the entire night, is it just falling alseep, or both?
I had that problem too, I think it's because I tried to hard and I had too many things on my mind I can't stop thinking about.
One of my teacher's(and brother's friend) told me to keep my eyes open, and that after a while they'll tire off and close. It actually worked..
If you're a light sleeper,try to lock the door or something,maybe completely close the blinds or find someway to keep the room darker.
What time do you go to bed and wake up?

i used to have a problem sleeping before and at the time of doing my exams ... its all to do with stress.
i just lay back and listened to soft songs on my ipod and id be away in minutes
i can never get to sleep with total silence around i always need a noise there to fall asleep (:

I used to have horrible sleeping problems as well and it was stress related. The musik at night helped but didn't solve the problem. What eventually helped me was opening the window at night, I know I'm weird, but it was either the sound of the wind or the cool temperature that helped me sleep...

It depends what the problem is really (you need to be a tiny bit more specific). Personally I can sleep once I actually get to sleep, it's just a matter of getting to sleep that's the problem. I can't tell you what to do so I'll just say what helps me: staying away from computers etc for about an hour before I go to bed, and I used to listen to this one song on my iPod (Sway by Lostprophets) to get me feeling drowsy, then I'd just sit there keeping my eyes open (as RhumanIaffectionP says, it does work). Hope that helps.

I have insominia so yeah I know your pain. =]. But what I do is I pick a movie I love and put it on at night, just listen to it and I fall asleep. But nothing that would have you up watching it, put on like a movie that you've seen a million times. I watch The Haunted Mansion, I made a tape with about 3 other movies on it and I can fall asleep to it.

Some times I also put on music, I listen to Fall Out Boy, for some reason they are soothing to me maybe because I steal a pillow from my sister and pretend its Pete Wentz. haha I'm such a freak.
